Designer Simone Rocha's Spring 2024 Couture collection was a beautiful expression of her love for the creative process, the atelier, and the "exchange and symbiosis" of her brand and the fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier.

Rocha's unique style and Irish roots were evident in every piece of the collection, which featured subversive codes and themes. From red satin breast tips to sheer pannier dresses and classic corsets, each piece showcased the designer's attention to detail and boldness in design.

One of the recurring themes in the collection was Victorianism, which was reflected in the artificial strands that were tied in a bow and twisted into bagels to serve as earrings, hair clips, and shoe decor. These strands were made from synthetic hair and were woven together to create intricate designs that added a touch of whimsy to the collection.
The collection also paid homage to the classic Gaultier fashion house, reinterpreting his Breton stripes and tattoo iconography. Rocha's use of these iconic motifs was subtle yet effective, adding depth and meaning to the collection.
Rocha masterfully created looks from head to toe, using pearls and feathers on shoes and embellishments in the form of suspender pendants. The collection included a variety of pieces, from romantic ballgowns with multi-layered tulle to tailored suits and jackets with intricate embroidery.
