ESCVDO Unveils 'Del Norte' Collection at Camera Moda for Milan Fashion Week

At Milan Fashion Week, ESCVDO's Spring/Summer 2025 "Del Norte" collection stood out, blending traditional Peruvian craftsmanship with modern design. The Peruvian brand, known for its commitment to sustainability and cultural heritage, brought its signature handmade pieces to the runway, capturing the attention of fashion enthusiasts with its meticulous attention to detail.

Drawing from ancient weaving techniques, the collection featured vibrant crochet dresses adorned with intricate zig-zag patterns and gradient tones that echoed the natural landscapes of northern Peru. The textures and patterns were rich with cultural symbolism, showcasing the artistry of Peruvian artisans. Each piece in the collection reflected a deep respect for the craft, with natural fibers woven into stunning silhouettes that felt both modern and timeless.

As Milan Fashion Week grows to embrace cultural heritage and sustainability, ESCVDO represents a new wave of thinking in fashion. Michael Foust, who covered the event, highlighted how brands like ESCVDO are leading this change: "Sustainability in both cultural heritage, styles, and materials is more than just a side note now in fashion." We couldn't agree more; this integration of eco-consciousness with traditional techniques made ESCVDO's collection a standout moment of the week.

ESCVDO's approach to sustainability was evident in the materials used and the way the collection was presented. Mannequins dressed in crochet creations were displayed on woven straw platforms, echoing the natural textures found in the clothing. This thoughtful integration of the display further emphasized the connection between the brand's cultural roots and its dedication to eco-conscious practices.

Foust described the collection for us as "contemporary, but intriguing," particularly in its use of materials and textures that "pop" with life and meaning. By combining ancient craftsmanship with a forward-thinking ethos, ESCVDO's Del Norte collection not only made a statement on the runway but also reinforced the importance of preserving cultural heritage in modern design.

As the fashion world increasingly embraces sustainable practices, ESCVDO stands as a beacon of how fashion can evolve without losing sight of its origins. Their work reminds us that fashion can be both beautiful and meaningful, blending history with a vision for the future.
